Day 01: New Delhi- Jaipur

Your journey on one of the finest luxury trains in India will begin on Wednesday at Delhi Cantonment Station.  The guests will be welcomed most sophisticatedly by our team in the typical Indian manner with garlands and anointing the forehead of the guests with vermillion paste.   At the strike of six thirty in the evening your spectacular journey will begin as you board the splendid train- Palace on Wheels on Wednesday. 

The guests will traverse through the mysterious galleries of the city of Rajasthan while on a journey fascinating seven day long joy ride to Rajasthan- the city of Palaces.  On this day guests will board the train and commence for Jaipur.

Day 02: Jaipur- Jaisalmer

The first stop on luxury tour in India is Jaipur- the Pink City.  The guests will reach the city at two o’clock late in the night on Thursday.  The guests will be provided the entire day for a sightseeing tour of the city, they will be served a sumptuous breakfast at the train itself thereafter the guests will be provided an air- conditioned coach for enjoying a full day excursion of the city. 

The guests will first enjoy a tour of Hawa Mahal- the beauteous building along the main street of the old city with semi- octagonal combed sandstone windows which will be followed by a visit to Amber Fort.  Enjoying an elephant ride to the fort guests will get a glimpse of the ancient era of majestic princes and elegant palaces.  Thereafter, guests will shop for some of the exquisite J jewelry, handicrafts, carpets and textiles of Jaipur at Rajasthali. 

The guests then will relish a sumptuous lunch at a Palace Hotel which will be followed by tour to visit the stunning City Palace.  The city tour will be concluded with a trip to Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory in the city followed by traversing back to Palace on Wheels at 6:30 in the evening.  Guests then will relish a delectable dinner on board as the train leaves for Jaisalmer at 7:30 in the evening.

Day 03: Jaisalmer- Jodhpur

Situated in the heart of the Thar Desert Jaisalmer is the land of princely etiquettes and marvels of ancient architecture.  Guests will arrive in the city early in the morning at 8:15 on Friday.  Post breakfast the guests will commence for exploring the latticed mansions with grand facades. 

Some of the sites at this sightseeing tour will include visit to Nathmalji- Ki- Haveli, Patwon- Ki- Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli and The Rajasthan Govt. Emporium from where one can shop for beauteous shawls, mirror work and embroidered articles and jewelry. 

Day 04: Jodhpur- Swai Madhopur

Guests will reach Jodhpur on Saturday early in the morning at 7 and the day will be spent exploring the majestic city of Jodhpur.  Post breakfast guests will commence the tour of the city ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several bastions.  This day of Palace on Wheels itinerary will begin with a trip to the renowned Mehrangarh Fort which will be followed by a trip to various extravagant palaces and historical edifices. 

The visit will include Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana the fine examples of ancient architecture.  The royal Palace hotel will serve a sumptuous lunch and thereafter guests will retire to Palace on Wheels which will then begin the onward journey at 3:30 in the evening to the next destination, Swai Madhopur.

Day 05: Sawai Madhopur- Chittaurgarh

Guests will arrive at four in the morning on Sunday at Sawai Madhopur as planned under your tour on Palace on Wheels.  The city named after it founder Maharaja Swai Madho Singh I will offer an opportunity to peek inside the glorious past of these Kingly states with a sight of their ruins.  Post breakfast at Palace on Wheels guests will proceed for a visit to the Ranthambhor National Park- the best place for photographing the national animal tiger. 

The sight of wild animals such as tiger, hyena, jackal and fox is further enhanced with the backdrop of the illustrious 10th century ruins of the fort.  Retire to the Palace on Wheels which will then leave for Chittaurgarh at 10:30 in the morning.

Day 05: Chittaurgarh- Udaipur

Guests will be served a specialty lunch as preferred by the guests on board as the train will arrive at Chittaurgarh on Sunday at four in the evening.  The city of Chittaurgarh personifies the image of love, valour and gigantic wars.  Your visit to Chittaurgarh Fort will be a memorable experience of the glorious environs of the city.  Escorted by our representative guests then will proceed in a luxury coach to Udaipur- the Lake City for a sightseeing tour.

Day 06: Udaipur- Bharatpur

On Monday the morning will be devoted to the sightseeing tour of the city of Mewars, Udaipur.  The city tour will bring an opportunity to visit the eternal site of the Jag Niwas- the Lake Palace and the Jag Mandir situated on the beauteous Pichola Lake.  A delectable lunch will be served at Lake Palace Hotel providing a glimpse of Indian hospitality which will be followed by an exhilarating visit to splendid City Palace- a cluster of beauteous palaces. 

This illustrious day will then bring a visit back to Palace on Wheels via your luxury coaches and the train then will proceed to Bharatpur at 8 in the evening.

Day 07: Bharatpur-Agra

Guests will arrive at Bharatpur at 6:30 in the morning and will be served a sumptuous meal on board.  Thereafter guests will pay a visit to renowned bird sanctuary of Keoladeo Ghana National Park.  The place nestles thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, and migratory Water Fowl and certainly is the right place for nature lover.  Palace on Wheels then will depart for Agra at 11:45 from Bharatpur.

Day 08: Agra-Delhi-  Departure

The guests will arrive at Agra at 2:30 on Tuesday.  The city of Mughals still cherishes splendid buildings of the era gone by.  The city tour will include a visit to first the red sandstone Mughal palatial complex- Fatehpur Sikri which will be followed by a visit to the famous mosque dedicated to Sheikh Salim Chisti. 

Post lunch the most memorable part of your Palace on Wheels tour will be held with a visit to the stunning building of Taj Mahal- the UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The guests then will board the train as the train pulls for Delhi at 11 late in the evening which will conclude the illustrious journey on Palace on Wheels.
